The New Haven Township Annual Meeting held at 1:00 p.m. on March 27, 2010 was called to order by Supervisor Dickinson with the pledge to the American Flag.

A roll call was taken.  Present, Supervisor Dickinson, Clerk Owen, Treasurer Eickholt, Trustee LeCureux and Trustee Foster.

Township residents were Dan Winters, Bill Spike, Russ Wing and Jim and Darlene Fitzgerald.

A motion was made by Trustee LeCureux, seconded by Treasurer Eickholt to approve the agenda as presented.

All Ayes.

Motion Carried.

A motion was made by Trustee LeCureux, seconded by Treasurer Eickholt to approve the minutes from the Annual Meeting held on March 28, 2009.

All Ayes.

Motion Carried.

Treasurer Eickholt gave the following Treasurer Report, General Fund $ 48,120.19, Revolving Investment Account (H) Closed, Township Investment Account (A) $ 81,031.17, Investment Account (B) $ 35,000.00,  Perpetual Care $ 34,159.38, 2-Mill Road Account  $ 81,257.01, Fire Account $ 40,867.37 and Ambulance Account, $ 12,300.00.

A motion was made by Trustee LeCureux, seconded by Trustee Foster to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented.

All Ayes.

Supervisor Dickinson gave an introduction of the New Haven Township Officials.

Supervisor Dickinson gave the following Notice of Re-Determination; SEV $ 62,765,800.00, Taxable Value $ 43,445,835.00, property value decrease for Agricultural .9919%, and Residential .8957%, CPI .997%, Fire is on 1 Mill on Taxable Value, Ambulance is $ 25.00 per household, 2-Mill Road is voted millage and actual collected is 1.943 mills, and Township Allocated collected is .9158 mills. 

It was noted that there were no requested increases to salaries for the township board members or employees.

It was noted by Clerk Owen that the township would be having future school elections in November.  The elections for 2010 would be on August 3, 2010 and  on November 3, 2010.

A motion was made by Clerk Owen, seconded by Trustee LeCureux to amend the 2009-2010 General Fund Budget as follows;

Assessor’s Expenditure from $ 12,000.00 to $ 12,300.00

Audit Expenditure from $ 500.00 to $ 550.00

Cemetery Expenditure from $ 34,000.00 to $ 33,650.00

A roll call was taken.

It was unanimously approved.

Trustee LeCureux reported that Corunna Area Ambulance Service has a new unit in operation.

Public Comment:

Bill Spike inquired on road work planned, and a bulletin board for the township hall.

Owosso Charter Township brought fire equipment to the township hall for public display.

A motion was made by Clerk Owen, seconded by Treasurer Eickholt to adjourn at 1:35 p.m.
