The New Haven Township Board met on June 7, 2010, at the New Haven Township Hall. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. with the pledge to the flag.
A roll call was taken, members present, Supervisor Dickinson, Clerk Owen, Treasurer Eickholt, Trustee LeCureux and Trustee Foster.
Guests, Jim and Darlene Fitzgerald, Dan Winters, Mike and Diane Dowler, Jim Stechschulte, Gary Holzhausen, Paul Rogers, Dave Johnson, Mike Thornton, Mark Lindsey and Noel Issac.
Motion by Trustee Foster, supported by Clerk Owen to approve the agenda as presented.
All Ayes.
Motion Carried.
Motion by Trustee Foster, supported by Treasurer Eickholt, to approve the minutes from May 10, 2010.
All Ayes.

Treasurer Eickholt gave the following report; General Fund $ 47,954.11, 2-Mill Road Account $ 86,231.41, Township Investment Account (A) $ 81,031.17 Township Investment Account (B) $ 35,115.91, Perpetual Care $ 34,169.53, Fire Account $ 40,400.30, Ambulance Account $ 905.32 and Tax Checking Account $ 522.46.
Motion by Trustee LeCureux, supported by Trustee Foster, to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented.

The Owosso Charter Township Fire Chief Dave Johnson assured the New Haven Township Board that he felt that Noel Issac had all of the necessary documents compiled and submitted in order for the township to authorize a permit for fireworks display.
Motion by Trustee Foster, supported by Treasurer Eickholt to approve the permit for fireworks display, for Noah Issac for public display on June 12, 2010 from 9:15 P.M. to 10:15 P.M. on premises located at 3730 Easton Road, Owosso Michigan.
A roll call vote was taken.
It was unanimously approved.

New Haven Township Assessor Diane Dowler gave the township board an update on the current status of township assessing records. She noted that a July Board of Review would be held.
Motion by Trustee Foster, supported by Trustee LeCureux to authorize payment to Online Stores Incorporated for the purchase of six metal veteran flag holders in the amount of $ 131.54.
A roll call vote was taken.
It was unanimously approved.

Motion by Trustee LeCureux, supported by Trustee Eickholt to authorize payment in the amount of $ 856.43 for township dues to the Michigan Township Association.

It was noted by Trustee Foster was in the process of obtaining prices for the township hall bulletin board.
Motion by Treasurer Eickholt, supported by Clerk Owen, to support the denial on the Dimension Variance Request ZBA Application #PZBA 10-005 by the New Haven Township Planning Commission.
A roll call vote was taken.
It was unanimously approved.

Motion by Treasurer Eickholt, supported by Trustee LeCureux to allow Trustee Foster to abstain from voting on Land Division Application #999 due to a conflict of interest.

Motion by Treasurer Eickholt, supported by Trustee LeCureux to approve Land Division Application #999 for a land division within parent parcel 003-04-100-001 +/- 38 acres.

Trustee Foster noted that July 12, 2010, the township board meeting will consist of a meet the candidate event.
