We have about 17 miles of roads that have had no gravel spread in over 10 years. There are about 103 houses on those 17 miles. The above 10 miles of road fronts 93 of those homes. The remaining 7 miles not proposed for gravel this year fronts only 10 homes. There are a few roads, such as North Ridge, that are very rough even though they have been graveled more recently. However, we need gravel on the above roads first to avoid wasting the dust control applications, as they are almost entirely sand or hard clay surfaced now. We will try to get the remaining roads next year.

$32,512.50 |
Spreading brine at 3000 gallons per mile (versus the normal 2000) for both applications this year. This, in conjunction with graveling, should help condition the roads. The second application would be coordinated to occur after new gravel is spread on the roads designated above. It may be possible to have gravel on some before the first brine application.

Henderson road from 52 past the cemetery has quite a bit of traffic. This road and Seymour north to the bridge, is deteriorating badly.
