We have hired a new township Assessor effective 5 April 2010.  Her name is Diane Dowler and she can be reached at 810-635-9596.

The position was advertised in the paper,  and all four individuals who applied were interviewed in March. 

Due to an Internal Revenue Service ruling, our new assessor will be a township employee for tax purposes, versus contractual as was done in the past.

Over the next two years, Diane will be doing records verification on all township parcels.  She will visit each property to verify that our assessment records match what is actually on the parcel.  New photos will be taken and all data will be entered in a database.
