One might think in our quiet township, there is never crime.  Compared to big cities, there is very little criminal activity out here .  Isn't that one reason we brave dust and snow drifts? 

There are occasionally those who prey on our isolated houses, waiting until you are at work or on vacation to take what you have earned.  If you vacation, ask a trusted person to collect your newspapers, or stop delivery, so they do not pile up outside and signal that no one is home.  Keep your doors locked, and your powder dry.
